WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -- Many Kansas school students are heading back to school, and while some have already started, students mental health is top of mind as the classrooms fill with students experiencing new milestones and transitions.

Libby Cain is a mom of three who says back-to-school evokes some mixed emotions in her household right now, as two of her three children will soon start school in Maize. Her daughter Piper is set to move to intermediate school.
