SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Tesla owners in San Francisco have been frustrated with wait times at Supercharger stations, especially during off-peak hours when prices are lowest. Those lines may get a little shorter as Tesla is opening up a new charging station in one of the city's more affluent neighborhoods.

A new Tesla Supercharger is opening in San Francisco's Marina District. The charging station is located at 1965 Lombard St., near the intersection of Lombard and Webster streets. KRON4 was at the Supercharger station and spotted 15 chargers, which are the newest edition that charge at the fastest speeds available (up to 325 kW).

There is no set opening date for when the Tesla Supercharging station will open.
