PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A standoff ended after a mental health emergency near North Woodbine Terrace and West Forrest Hill Avenue on Monday.
Around 4:02 p.m., officers responded to a man having a mental health emergency who may have had some kind of flammable substance, Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria said.
Officers first evacuated the residence, then eventually talked the man out of the building. He was then taken to a local hospital.
At 8:30 p.m., officers were beginning to clear the area.
No injuries or criminal charges were reported at this time, Echevarria said.
