Plans for an ambitious office development in Deep Ellum appear to be on ice — construction never started on the 2.7-acre site, which recently changed hands.
Documents filed with Dallas County indicate that the piece of land at 301 N. Crowdus St. was purchased in late July by an entity called Dos Hombres Ventures LLC, registered to a P.O. box in Wolfforth, near Lubbock.
Davidson Bogel Real Estate’s Jake Milner, Bennett Sikes and Scott Lake helped broker the sale. The firm declined to reveal financial details or info about the new owner. However, the firm noted that the new owner has "creative redevelopment plans" for the site.
