LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at a Laredo port of entry seized over $400,000 worth of methamphetamine.
On Saturday, August 9, at the Colombia Solidarity Bridge, CBP officers referred a U.S. citizen in a 2011 Ford van to secondary inspection.
During their search, officers found three packages containing 47.9 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, valued at $433,009, among the suspect’s personal belongings.
CBP seized the meth and the vehicle, while Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested the driver and is investigating the seizure.
