FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Two men were cited following reports of loud music playing during a party over the weekend, and after the sheriff's office said they were "rude" to deputies.

The sheriff's office adds that this is the first citation following the passage of the county's new noise ordinance.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, when deputies received reports of loud music being played at a home in the area of Muscat and Marks avenues in Fresno.

Upon arrival, deputies contacted two men. The men told responding deputies that they would have the band lower its music level; however, instead of lowering the music volume, the sheriff's office reports the music got louder, and the men locked the gates on the property to prevent deputies' access.
