FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A Fresno restaurant opened its doors over the weekend to help a family bury one of their own who was killed in a hit-and-run in Fresno County. CHP says 44-year-old Adan Ochoa was struck by a car and found dead on the south shoulder of Jensen Avenue, east of Del Rey Avenue, in the early hours of July 30.
On Sunday, Aug. 10, family and friends gathered inside My Homie's Kitchen in Downtown Fresno. The business where Ochoa once worked was now hosting a fundraiser to give him a proper goodbye.
"We're so grateful for them," Adan's brother Chris Ochoa said. "We come from Sanger, and everyone in Sanger has been super helpful and has just reached out with their condolences."
