LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WJW) - Sparks were flying at a meeting in Lakewood to discuss the city’s recurring power outage problem.
FirstEnergy organized the town hall meeting to address the issue after repeated outages across the city over the past year.
“I tell you right now, this is unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable!” yelled one man.
“What are you going to do?” shouted another.
The problems began last year and have continued with regularity. Even during the meeting, several more outages were reported.
“It’s not like there’s a storm or strong winds. The power just goes out without any reason,” said Cindy Marx, Lakewood City Council Ward 4.
Tens of thousands have been impacted, losing power for hours and even multiple days.
