MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Nearly 50 years after Mary Bobo Shinn, 25, was reported missing in Magnolia, Ark., authorities say new information has been uncovered.
FBI agents recently worked with local law enforcement to search an undisclosed location in the southwest part of Columbia County.
Sheriff officials say they didn't find what they were looking for last week, but they did learn a few things that could help the investigation.
“The technology is so advanced now that we can come up with a better and more accurate account of what happened,” said Columbia County Sheriff Leroy Martin.
Martin says he was contacted last week by former Sheriff Mike Loe about information regarding the missing person case. This information led to the FBI sending an excavation team to search the Bussey Sharman area.
