BLACKSBURG, Va. — It’s a critical year for Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry. The Hokies are coming off a challenging 6-7 campaign in 2024, which ended with a loss to Minnesota in the Duke's Mayo Bowl from Charlotte, North Carolina.

In the offseason, the program underwent a major overhaul. Virginia Tech brought in new coaches at defensive coordinator, offensive line, and strength and conditioning. The roster saw even more turnover, with about 30 players arriving through the transfer portal.

Pry says he’s encouraged by what he’s seen so far in fall camp, pointing to early signs of improvement and team chemistry.

"Been pleased with the effort and the attitude of our football team throughout the offseason," he said. "We need to build off of that. That's what we're working on right now. T
