MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Darlington High School’s football program is known for its historic success.

So when the Redbirds end their 2024 regular season with a 9-3 overall record and fall in Level 2 of WIAA’s, what is a great season looking from the outside in, can be characterized as a disappointing season within the city lines of Darlington, Wisconsin.

But it has only made the Redbirds stronger internally. Within the offseason, Darlington’s primary focus was no different than any other year: getting bigger, faster, and stronger.

Only this year, there was a bit more of a chip on their shoulders.
