Engineering Industries Ireland (EII) has said the recently introduced 15pc US tariff is creating a significant challenge for Irish exporters, and is calling for new state-backed financial supports to help them.
The body, which is a representative of Ireland’s engineering sector, said in its Budget 2026 submission that the 15pc tariff on most EU goods will affect Irish exports of industrial products, auto parts and semiconductors.
