Kelly Clarkson will reportedly be returning to “The Kelly Clarkson Show” after a long hiatus.

The beloved singer and TV show host’s future has been uncertain for months, and even more so after the death of Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

According to a confirmation from People , Clarkson “will return for season 7 in the fall.”

Blackstock was 48. His rep told NBC in a statement that he died after a year-long battle with cancer.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away,” the statement read. “Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.”
