Could the constitutional right for same-sex couples to marry be in jeopardy?

A petition filed in Kentucky is asking the United States Supreme Court to consider overturning same-sex marriage rights.

The petition is being brought by Kim Davis, a former county clerk who refused to issue a marriage license to a gay couple 10 years ago.
