Richmond’s latest allocation from its Affordable Housing Trust Fund is supporting eight projects set to add nearly 600 homes for low- and moderate-income households.
The city announced Monday it is allocating $9.2 million from the trust fund, with $7 million of those funds awarded to seven developers for the projects that will add to Richmond’s housing stock for renters and buyers generally below the area median income.
The allocation also includes $2.2 million to support grants provided through the city’s Healthy Homes program, which helps qualifying homeowners finance repairs to existing homes.
