FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for showers, storms

Rain will move into west Georgia after your morning commute and continue through lunch, mainly west of Atlanta.

After lunch, we’ll see spotty showers and storms in all of north Georgia through sunset.

Rain and lightning will be your primary threats this afternoon. No severe weather is expected, but isolated street flooding will be possible, especially in west Georgia.

Drier weekend

We’ll see another round of afternoon and storms storms on Wednesday -- which is also a First Alert Weather Day -- before drier and warmer weather returns for the weekend.
