ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man shot and killed in Mozley Park in May was attempting to rob the people who shot him, according to Atlanta police.

Zantrez Cummings, 27, was shot and killed in Mozley Park on May 27. Police said at the time that Cummings walked up to a car and was shot. He died on the scene.

Atlanta police said Tuesday that Cummings “was acting in the commission of an armed robbery when he was fatally shot.”

The shooter has not been identified.
