The BBC star, Gethin Jones, has taken to social media to announce the death of his father.

The 47-year-old and Morning Live presenter revealed on Monday (August 11) that his father had died after being "poorly for a while".

Gethin shared a touching tribute to his father on Instagram, along with the final photo he took with him.

“Wales defeated England..” (the famous line from Max Boyce) - Hymns and Arias with dad last night, before he left us this morning. The most perfect, peaceful end. Welsh hymns playing, and the grandsons on speaker phone saying goodbye.
