Drivers with stop and start technology have been issued a warning over driving in the UK heatwave. Motorists are being urged to ensure technology is switched on - as the risk of idling increases the danger of toxic fumes.

Motorists in London are being warned not to leave their engines idling as temperatures hit 32C. In the cpaital, City Hall has announced that a "high" air pollution alert has been triggered and warned the heat will create "high" ozone levels.
