RAYNHAM — Black trash bags were piled on a truck trailer Saturday afternoon outside the 18th-century home where Marie Hunt lived.

A day after authorities said the 37-year-old Hunt died in a double shooting at the residence, her family was at the home, trying to clean up. Also killed in the violence was 35-year-old Mark Henshaw, who dated Hunt and lived with her on Elm Street West, authorities said.

“It shouldn’t have happened,” a man who identified himself as Hunt’s father said in a brief phone call with the Globe.

The man, who gave his first name as David, blamed Henshaw for the violence.

In a statement on Saturday, Bristol District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III addressed the killings, but didn’t specify who was responsible.
