William O’Brian State Park’s Lake Alice, which is normally a 26-acre lake that dips down to nine feet below the surface, has been reduced to a small stream, according to KARE 11. The mechanical failure of a stuck valve resulted in a “significant drawdown” of the lake that “triggered a major kill of game fish that the lake has been stocked with, from bluegill and largemouth bass to northern pike and walleye.”
