MERCER, Pa. - West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquitoes collected in Mercer County.
The sample was collected in the borough of Mercer and is the fourth sample in Mercer County to test positive for West Nile Virus in 2025.
Additional monitoring will be conducted in the area where these mosquito samples were collected, and appropriate control measures will be implemented depending on the number of mosquitoes found.
Currently, there have been no reported cases of West Nile Virus in humans in Mercer County this year.
