The actions of President Donald Trump and his administrations toward people who are LBGTQ+ and transgender concern me greatly.

The Declaration of Independence states that all people are “endowed … with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” That includes all of us. Trump has issued at least five executive orders about transgender people — who also are “endowed” with rights; yet, some Christians and this administration seek to deprive them of their rights.

People are people, period. It is none of anyone’s business what others decide to do with their lives. I was brought up in my Christian home to respect others and not condemn them.
