Thanks to more than 100 volunteers, the third annual Bash on the Lake Christian music and family-fun event was held on Saturday despite the rain.

On Thursday afternoon, organizers decided to move the free celebration from City Park to the Clear Lake Wellness Center due to the weather forecast.

"We have an amazing team that does what they need to do," said Starr Benjamin, a member of the United To Serve with Passion and Purpose board of directors.

United to Serve with Passion and Purpose, a nonprofit funded by business sponsorships, foundations and individual donations, produces Bash on the Lake each year.

Almost 90 people signed up ahead of time as volunteers, but others stepped up to volunteer the day of the event, according to Benjamin.
