One man was killed and three people were injured after a two-car crash in East Meadow on Sunday, Nassau police said.
Around 1:19 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was driving north in a 2012 Nissan Maxima on Carman Avenue when it collided with a 2024 Nissan Altima going west on Salisbury Park Drive and turning left onto Carman Avenue.
The driver of the Maxima and the three occupants of the Altima were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
A 55-year-old man, a passenger in the Altima who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
The driver of the Maxima, the 57-year-old driver of the Altima and her other passenger, a 56-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
