The Seattle Mariners may already be the winners of this season's MLB trade deadline.

Seattle entered the All-Star break just six games over .500 but has since been one of the best teams in baseball. The Mariners have been especially good since July 31, the day of the MLB trade deadline.

They entered Tuesday 9-1 since the deadline passed, 7-0 in their last seven games and just one game behind the Houston Astros for first place in the American League West.

The success has come on the heels of general manager Jerry Dipoto being ultra-aggressive at the MLB trade deadline. He acquired both first baseman Josh Naylor and third baseman Eugenio Suarez from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
