GIBSON CITY, Ill. (WCIA) -- The search continues for a man wanted in connection to a shooting that injured two law enforcement officers in Gibson City, and Illinois State Police is looking to the public for help.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 9, officers from the Gibson City Police Department and Ford County Sheriff’s Office responded near the area of Ash Street and Sangamon Avenue for the report of a naked man, later identified as 70-year-old David Jordan.

Officers attempted to make contact with Jordan, when a police officer and sheriff's deputy were shot. Illinois State Police said that neither the officer or the deputy fired their weapons.

State Police requests that people or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras check their footage from the time of the incident to now. Anyone
