The heat continues today, but the good news is that temperatures will be slightly cooler come Wednesday and continue to dip for the rest of the week.
Valleys, mountains and desert communities will bear the brunt of the heat today as temperatures soar to the low 100s again.
The deserts are under an extreme heat warning. Coachella Valley will see daytime highs rise to 115 degrees, while Palmdale and the Antelope Valley will see temperatures around 109 degrees.
Meanwhile, the San Gabriel, Inland Empire and San Bernardino county mountains are under a heat advisory. Temperatures will reach the 80s and 90s at higher elevations, near 105 degrees in the foothills, and around 100 degrees for the Inland Empire.
