Binational trade between Venezuela and Colombia reached $2025 million in May 478,6, a 20% increase compared to the $399 million recorded in the same period last year.

The information was provided by the Venezuelan-Colombian Chamber of Economic Integration (Cavecol) during its semiannual exercise, where it explained that by May 2025, imports of Colombian products will continue to experience a significant increase of 25,3%, reaching a total value of $430,9 million.

This reflects the strategic nature of the Venezuelan-Colombian bilateral trade relationship in terms of nearshoring, where Colombia can broadly and rapidly supply (through land transportation and logistics) the Venezuelan market's demand for products.
