SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Two teenagers were arrested in Springfield after a stolen vehicle they were allegedly in crashed into multiple cars while attempting to evade police.

In a news release by the Springfield Police Department, just after 8 p.m. on Monday, officers observed a vehicle on State Street near Walnut Street that had been reported stolen in Agawam. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop at a red light, the driver crashed into the cruiser.

The driver then crashed into another vehicle and popped two tires on the sidewalk while trying to evade police. The vehicle came to a stop after crashing into an unoccupied car on the 300 block of Wilbraham Road.
