BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A man shot and killed in his vehicle Monday morning in Birmingham has been identified.
John Byron Roulaine, 51, of Birmingham, was an employee preparing for his shift at a nearby business when he was shot and killed in his van.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald said that officers were called to the commercial district of the Woodlawn neighborhood just after 5 a.m. on reports of a person down inside a van.
Once on the scene at 1st Avenue North and 55th Place, officers found Roulaine dead inside.
Roulaine, an employee at ADW Temporary Staffing, was in his van preparing for work when another person approached him and a scuffle ensued. The suspect shot him in his van and fled the scene.
While no one is in custody, officials say they have a lead on the suspect thanks
