MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie woman was arrested after she allegedly neglected more than 20 animals — and even used some of them for dogfighting.
On Aug. 8, court documents say animal control officers and Muncie police officers recovered 21 flea-ridden animals, 15 dogs and six cats, from a home in the 3000 block of South Madison Street , near East 22nd Street and South Pershing Avenue, after animal control received multiple complaints for a large number of dogs on the property and reports of dogfighting.
One of the dogs had serious injuries to its head and needed immediate medical attention. The animals were removed from the property. Court documents say the property was "unkept and unsanitary."
