Thousands of households are at risk of missing out on cash boost, with HMRC issuing a two-week warning.

Parents of 16 to 19-year-olds are being urged to act now or risk losing hundreds of pounds a year in Child Benefit payments.

Latest figures show more than 214,000 eligible families are missing out on this vital support.

Child Benefit automatically stops on August 31 after a child turns 16 unless parents confirm their teenager is staying in full-time education or approved training.

So families who this applies to need to make sure they take action before the August 31 deadline, just over two weeks away.
