A large great white shark has been spotted off the coast of Scarborough.
The shark was spotted in the water near the south tip of Richmond Island, Crescent Beach State Park, Higgins Beach, Pine Beach and Pine Point Beach on Monday, according to the Scarborough Police Department.
Then on Tuesday a marine patrol officer obtained drone footage showing what may be a 10- to 12-foot great white shark near the southern tip of Richmond Island.
The department will provide more information about the sighting as it becomes available.
