(NewsNation) — Hand soap sold across the United States and in Puerto Rico have been recalled due to a dangerous bacterial contamination.

Several over-the-counter soap products from DermaRite Industries contain Burkholderia cepacia complex — a bacterium that could lead to "serious and life-threatening infections," the company warned.

The recall includes DermaKlee, DermaSarra, KleenFoam and PeriGene soaps. Click here for a full list of affected products and their lot numbers.

"In healthy individuals with minor skin lesions the use of the product will more likely result in local infections, whereas in immunocompromised individuals the infection is more likely to spread into blood stream leading to life-threatening sepsis," DermaRite said in a news release.
