Valley Stream Man Stole $500K From NJ Employer

A 28-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested and charged with stealing nearly  $500,000 from an employer in Monmouth County, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Joseph Hardoon's former employer discovered he stole $497,500 while serving as bookkeeper for an Ocean Township business between 2021 and 2024, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. 

Hardoon was charged with theft by unlawful taking, Santiago said.
