Ashley Biden and Howard Krein are going their separate ways.

Joe Biden ’s daughter has filed for divorce from the plastic surgeon on August 11 after more than 13 years of marriage, her rep confirmed to The Philadelphia Inquirer .

The 44-year-old filed the paperwork in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. And hours after doing so, she posted a photo of herself walking through a park while flashing a thumbs-up to her Instagram Stories —with Beyoncé’s song “Freedom” playing in the background.

The former First Daughter then shared a few inspirational quotes to her Stories.

“New life, means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before,” one quote, set to Lauryn Hill ’s song “Freedom Time,” read, followed by another quote from Bob Marley
