George Couchie was disappointed when he read the reaction of many to a news report that stated about 25 percent of the North Bay Police Service are on leave due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The social media comments section of this report was littered with comments like, ‘they knew what they were getting into,’ or ‘maybe the police should better vet their candidates.’

As a person who wore a badge for more than three decades, Couchie felt the need to head to his Facebook page and respond to this torrent of negative comments.
