A Warrick County Health Department official said on Monday the agency ordered the temporary closure of the McDonald's located at 701 W. Locust St. to allow for cleaning of "bug infestations."

A video shared online purported to depict a cockroach scurrying across the floor inside the Boonville McDonald's location. It garnered more than 12,000 views.

BOONVILLE — The Warrick County Health Department temporarily shuttered Boonville's only McDonald's this week amid "multiple different health concerns."

As of Tuesday, signage posted outside the McDonald's located at 701 W. Locust St. read "CLOSED by the Warrick County Health Department." A statement posted by Mann Enterprises LLC, the restaurant's operator, said crews were working on "an important maintenance issue."
