ANN ARBOR — The motto inside the Michigan football program this summer is TNT: today not tomorrow. Head coach Sherrone Moore is keeping that in mind as a potential suspension looms over his head with the season opener just weeks away.
According to reports, Moore is prepared to serve a school-imposed two-game suspension as part of the program’s so-called sign-stealing operation . If that holds, Moore would reportedly sit out Michigan’s third and fourth games this fall: at home against Central Michigan on Sept. 13 and at Nebraska the following Saturday.
It’s possible the NCAA decides Moore deserves additional punishment. Neither school spokespersons nor Moore have commented on any of it, citing the ongoing NCAA investigation.
Michigan opens the season on Aug. 30 at home against New Mexi
