ATOKA, Okla. (KFOR) - According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, an inmate walked away from the Howard McLeod Correctional Center Tuesday morning.

Officials say 33-year-old Clint Hernandez walked away from the facility at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12.

According to ODOC, he is serving a 5-year sentence for assault and battery with a deadly weapon out of Garvin County.
