OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - It's still going to be warm outside as kids head back to the classroom this week, but the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation is working to make sure kids stay warm when that cold weather rolls around as they launch their 2025 Coat-A-Kid campaign.
"We have worked with the Oklahoma City Public Schools to provide a brand new warm coat for every student who needs one," President and CEO of the OKCPS Foundation Kendra Horn said.
As mentioned, the coats are obviously not necessary now, but they will be. The fundraiser follows their annual tradition of getting every kid in the Oklahoma City Public School District a brand new coat by fall break, around the time it starts to get chilly out, if they need one.
"It's about 6,500 coats per year, and we work directly with
