'A shock': OKC neighbors relieved smelly problem property is being cleaned up

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An Oklahoma City neighborhood says they're excited steps have been taken to clean up a home that city reports say you can literally smell from the street.

News 4 has been following the story since neighbors in the Northwest Oklahoma City addition initially contacted our newsroom with complaints in July. The bulk of the visible issues with the property, News 4 employees observed, were tied to the front porch area. Trash was littered across a path leading up the porch, including open cans of discarded animal food, standing water, fly traps, and other junk. The odor coming from the nearby area was so distinct that News 4 employees had to take multiple breaks.
