Boy hospitalised after being sprayed in Bristol with unknown substance

A boy was hospitalised after being sprayed with an unknown substance in Bristol. Police have arrested a 19-year-old in connection with the incident.

The victim was attacked in Brislington yesterday morning (Monday, August 11). An ambulance rushed him to hospital.

It is not thought the boy suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries and he has since been discharged from hospital.

A 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

At the time of reporting, he remains in police custody.

Police are investigating the attack and have reassured the public that there is no wider risk.

Officers will be carrying out proactive patrols in the area.
