It’s gas station affogato season, according to Travel Channel and PBS star Samantha Brown .

The “Places to Love” host and Syracuse University alum took to Instagram last month to share how she enjoys a dressed-down version of the popular Italian dessert, affogato.

“It’s July, and you know what that means? It’s gas station affogato season,” Brown said in a video filmed in a gas station parking lot. With an ice cream sandwich and a small coffee cup in hand, she set the coffee down on an air pump machine, using it as a makeshift table. “You’re seeing everyone in Italy, Positano, the Amalfi Coast… but you’re at a Gulf station off the Mass Pike,” she said as she unwrapped the ice cream sandwich.
