IOWA CITY — The University of Iowa athletic department announced the decision to move the Duke Slater Field emblem at Kinnick Stadium on Monday.

The emblem, which currently sits at each 25-yard line, will be relocated ahead of the 2025 college football season.

According to Joe Parker, Iowa’s deputy athletics director for strategic initiatives and chief operating officer, the decision to move the emblem was made to create a new revenue-generating opportunity. Parker also clarified that the name of the field will not change.
