RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Richmond’s Police Chief is sharing new information about the deadly graduation shooting that unfolded near Monroe Park.
“We know that there is a lot of public interest in this case. Now that future prosecutions have been ruled out we’re able to discuss some of the information we’ve been asked about previously,” said Chief Rick Edwards, Richmond Police Dept.
In a seven-minute long video posted online, Chief Rick Edwards walks through crime scene photos, timelines as well as the evidence found at the scene.
“Detectives determined that this incident began with Amari Pollard shooting at Shawn Jackson a total of six times. Two of the bullets were recovered from Shawn Jackson’s body during the course of the autopsy,” said Chief Edwards.
