A number of supercars totalling over £6m have been seized in London's West End following complaints from fed up locals. The Metropolitan Police removed 72 luxury vehicles, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Bentleys, across Hyde Park , Kensington and Chelsea between August 8 and August 10.

The mass roundup followed concerns that many were unroadworthy or illegal, and had become a nuisance for residents, businesses and visitors to the area. Working alongside the Motor Insurers' Bureau, police issued drivers with tickets for multiple motoring offences, such as driving without insurance or a driving licence, disqualification, false documentation and the use of fraudulent number plates.

Officers also recovered several stolen vehicles, with another ten identified as having no valid MO
