JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Quayshawn Russell. 31, has been arrested again and faces additional charges.

Russell was already facing a felony charge of Shooting into a Dwelling, but failed to appear for a court date related to the incident. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

The Jones County Police Department found Russell near the intersection of Ellisville Boulevard and Lee Street, which resulted in a foot pursuit in Laurel on Wednesday morning.

JCSD and Laurel Police Department responded to the pursuit, which ended quickly as JCSD Court Services Division Deputy Davy Keith caught Russell and took him into custody.

Quayshawn Russell is being held at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility and has been charged with Resisting Arrest. He has not had a first appearance yet.
