MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Ezekiel Kelly, the suspect accused in a 2022 shooting spree has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after pleading guilty.

Due to his guilty plea, there will be no chance of appeal, according to the courts.

This will include 221 years, the estimated time for his total of 28 charges.

Ezekiel Kelly originally pleaded not-guilty to his 28 charges, which include three counts of first-degree murder.

That plea has since been flipped.

Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy previously said he planned to seek the death penalty in the case, but that is now off the table due to the guilty plea.
